Lifestyle: Toronto Made Style at Colette Grand Cafe and Bakery
Lifestyle: Toronto Made Style at Broadview Hotel
Kait of Toronto Made Style runs a lifestyle guide and I had the opportunity to take a few portraits for her. October is Small Business Month and I'm thankful to be able to create custom photography for local entrepreneurs, artists and small business owners like Kait.
Portrait: Marcus in Portland, Oregon
He was visiting Portland, just like I was. He had decided to leave his career to pursue what he was truly passionate about: music. Just as I had with photography.
As we talked, I could relate to the thoughts, fears and emotions that were going through his head. I had been there. To be honest, I'm still there. But I can live with knowing that I tried and saw for myself if I failed than to waste precious time wondering if I could have succeeded had I give it my all.
If you've gone through this process, I would love to hear your experience and advice. If you're going through it now, feel free to ask questions. I hope we can help each other out.
Lifestyle: Farmers' Market Picnic in the City
When I first came across their Instagram photos, I loved the styling and the dishes they made. Philip and Mystique, the creators of Chef Sous Chef, cook with fresh ingredients and share their recipes on their blog. I got in touch with them to document them in their natural element.
As they often do on a Saturday morning, they picked up a few local and delicious things from St. Lawrence Market and headed to the waterfront for a picnic. See how it all came together:
Fresh, sweet strawberries from a local Ontario farm
Meats and cheese from St. Lawrence Market
Country baguette and peonies, also from the market
Philip and Mystique, you make such a great team.
