Vancouver is a special place for us. John spent a year there when he worked for the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics and I attended some of the events so it was fun for us to go back and visit the city together.
The Wendake Beach House is a beautiful cottage in the Township of Tiny, Ontario. It is spacious with 4 bedrooms, 5 beds + 1 crib and 2 bathrooms with showers. The kitchen, dining area and living room are open concept and full of natural light (pictured above).
There is a full kitchen and a BBQ on the deck along with 2 outdoor dining areas. For kids, there is a small play area with toys and books. A firepit in the backyard is perfect for roasting marshmallows and stargazing at night.
Our host, Denise, was hospitable and made sure our stay was as comfortable as possible. She provided us with locally roasted coffee beans and locally brewed beer which was a nice treat.

The beach is only about a 5 minute walk way with an amazing view of sunsets.
Wine country in Ontario is a beautiful region of vineyards and good food. While summer is a nice time to tour the wineries, the fall is great too because it's harvest season which means you'll see all the grapes on the vines. It's worth a day trip or a weekend getaway. Don't forget to research all the wineries ahead of time!
